Message
Man is naturally selfish and thinks of himself only. We want people around us to do things that pleases us or that favors us only. We tend to get jealous over the success of others all we want is to be at the fore front of everything. Some people go as far as painting others bad just to gain people's heart to favor them but as believers, we’ve been called into a better life characterized by selflessness.
Jesus was teaching in today’s text that we should find out all that we would want others to do for us, things that would make us pleased and fulfilled and then do same to them. The focus need to change from you to others. This does not come by just mere wishing or thought, we need to take deliberate steps in becoming selfless like Christ does. He left his throne in heaven to die for us because he saw himself in that position with the father and thought of bringing us to that position as well. What a genuine act it is!! Make up your mind to model your life after Christ today and cry to him for grace to live for others as this is how you find true fulfillment.
Prayer: I draw grace from you Jesus to live according to your dictate for my life.
