Topic: What’s next after accepting Christ?
Text: Colossians 1:4-10 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Message
After Apostle Paul had preached to the church of Colossians, He had to tell them that their salvation doesn’t ends, they must be fruitful and be an ambassador of Christ.
So many believers today after they have accepted the gospel of Christ, they thought that is the end for them and all they could do is to wait for the return of Jesus Christ but no, it is not so.
Brethren after we have accepted Jesus Christ, we are to bear much fruit for him who saved from the kingdom of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear son (Colossians 1:13).
Brethren, after you have been saved, God expects you to go and bear fruits for him, whosoever God uses for your salvation has bear God fruit.
Action point: God cannot come down and do the work of evangelism but he needs you
Prayer point: I receive grace to take charge of my responsibility in Jesus name
