GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: 5th May 2022

TOPIC: DUE SEASON 1

TEXT: Isaiah 40:28–31

28: Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30: Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

MESSAGE

God is a God of time and season. and for every man, there is a season. It’s unfortunate that not everyone waits for their season. Many people retire before their due season while some appear too soon before their season. Being jealous of the appointed time of others is one of the causes of frustration and depression in the body of Christ. When a man is envious of others’ due seasons, he loses track of his own.

Hannah was never jealous of Peninnah’s appointed time. The mockery of Peninnah did not make Hannah hate her; instead, she realized that Peninnah was not the problem; she simply had to wait for her due season. So, she prayerfully waited for her due season. Never allow circumstances to force you to be impatient for your due time. You won’t be able to overcome a challenge if you allow it to pressure you into being impatient for your due time. Hannah did not allow herself to be pressured; instead, she chose to wait for her own time in the place of prayer

When you stay in your circumstances, you become tired and weary; however, when you stay in the place of prayer and the word of God, you get refreshed and prepared for your appointed time. In essence, where you choose to stay determines whether you become weary or not. Those around you may have achieved their goals, dreams, and breakthroughs and it appears that your life has come to a halt. That is a devilish lie from the depths of hell. The word of God to a user of today’s devotional is that ‘Your season will come.

ACTION POINT: Wait for your due season, and all that is due will be paid.

PRAYER POINT: Lord I Receive grace to wait for my due season in Jesus’ name. Amen.
