GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Date: Wednesday 30th September, 2020
Topic: What have you done?
Text: 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
Message
King Saul was a king ordained by God to rule his people. God gave King Saul an instruction to go destroy the whole of the Amalakites but king Saul preserved the best and destroyed the ugly. This act of disobedience made him lose his kingship and God repented that he ordained Saul a king.
The Holy Spirit in today’s devotional want to help us realize where we have disobey God so as to make corrections before it’s too late.. you need to think deeply in those areas through the help of the Holy Spirit on how you have ignore, abandon the instructions of God. Bible says obedience is better than sacrifices.
1 Samuel 16:1 says; And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
The above reading portion reveals the punishment of Saul, it was painful to Samuel but because Saul disobeyed God, there is nothing he could do. Brethren, today is a day to reconcile with God, today is a day to think deeply and make amendment before the night come
