Topic: Christ Revelation

Text: Colossians 2:1-5

1) For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

2) That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words

5) For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Message

One of the major assignment of Apostle Paul is to reveal the mystery behind who Christ really is. And Apostle Paul try as much as possible to reveal Christ to people and also for them to know Christ personality by themselves so that when false teachers comes around to toss them back and forth, they will be able to know who Christ is and to be able to discern if they are false teachers or not.

Brethren, you claim to be born again for a long time now, how much of Christ do you know? Are you sure your revelation about Jesus Christ is enough to make you stand when false teachers come to you now?

Our reading portion reveals certain revelation of Christ such as ‘in Christ lies all the hidden treasures of God’ . If you truly know Christ and you still hunger for him, I can assure that you can’t be toss to and fro but you root will be so down in Christ that nothing will shake you from Christ. Brethren, desire to know Christ for yourself by studying the word of God and spending time in prayers.

Action point: Desire to know Christ for yourself genuinely.

Prayer point: Holy Spirit, I need fresh encounter of Jesus Christ
