Topic: With you is my all

    Text: Mathew 6: 19-22

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

    Message

Treasures are matters of the heart, they are ideologies, belief, faith, fact, even materials that we have chosen to give high priority, and because they are different from others by choice, treasure are guarded jealously or intensely.

We became sons and daughters of God by choice, therefore we are saddled with the responsibility of sustaining its legacy. How then do we do this? Vs 19-20 direct us on where we should have it kept, and that is constantly at the feet of God (Heaven). There it will continually radiate God’s glory, anytime and at anywhere we use it. Why then must we keep it at the store room with God?

    1) To avoid thief and corruption: these thieves represents friends, relatives, societal norms, government polices etc, that are set to steal our salvation

    2) To avoid month and rust: this represents weariness or tiredness. Of course it is expected and inevitable but the Bible says those who wait on the Lord, He shall renew their strength.

Brethren, I beseech us to stay focus and keep our gaze on God, for by this shall we live and have life abundantly…

Prayer point: Lord see me through, help me to keep my gaze fix on you Lord. Amen
