Topic: Let peace reign
Text: Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord

The greatest commandment centers on love, love your God with the whole of your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. This means one can not fulfill God's commandment without love. 1 Corinthians 13:4 says "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up". Charity which means love suffereth long and its kind.

Love walks along with peace. Where there is love, there will be peace and where there is no love, peace can't be there. God is love and can't stay or work where there is no peace. 1 John 4:20 says
"if a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"

Our God is a God of peace, He always want peace to reign and that we His children, should also be a symbol of peace. Most of us find it so difficult to forgive ourselves not to talk of our enemies but Jesus ask us to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44)

If you fail to let peace reign any where you find yourself and continue to hate your brother, you are not different from a murderer as in the book of 1 John 3:15 that "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him" Many are murderers today, not because they kill but because they hate their neighbors. Hope you are not a murderer?

Prayer: Oh lord, take away the spirit of hatred in me and replace it with the spirit of love so that peace will reign wherever I find myself. Amen
