*GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*
Date: June 5, 2020
TOPIC: *When God is Silent*
TEXT:Isa.43:2
"When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned and the flame shall not consume you".
Message
You might be down, weary, weak, faint, dying and discouraged yet God may remain silent. You have prayed and it seems like the heavens are closed; you look around and feel no sense of His presence and you conclude that God has left you to handle it alone. Don't forget, the teacher is silent during the test. There are times the teacher teaches and impacts, there are times the teacher withdraws to see how well the student performs.
In the test hall, the teacher watches and evaluates. He is not far, He is not away, He is right there watching everything that goes on around you. He says He will be there when you walk through the fire (Isa.43:2). He promised to uphold you with his right hand of righteousness (Isa.41:10), only believe. His silence is golden. If you are discouraged because God hasn't shown up in a blaze of glory, perhaps He's revealing Himself with His quiet presence.
ACTION POINT: God's silence doesn't mean his absence. Silence is God's call for you to grow.
PRAYER POINT: Thank you Father for the period of test, I know you are with me and you will never forsake me for once.
