GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Date: 5th Jan 2022
TOPIC: BUILD CAPACITY
TEXT: 2 KINGS 4:1-6
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

Message
God is trustworthy; He will not bless a man beyond his capacity and ability. God will not bless a man with a 10kg container with a 100kg blessing. Your limit is your capacity. God has blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places, but we must cultivate the capacity and ability to explore, receive, and manifest these blessings on earth.

According to the Bible passage, the oil continued to flow as long as there was a vessel. The availability of oil is proportional to the number of vessels available. As the prophet stated, it was not a matter of the blessing, but rather of the vessel available. God's blessing is proportional to your ability.

Beloved God has actually responded to your request that you made at the beginning of the year. One reason you haven't received the blessing is that you don't have the capacity to receive it. Why not begin building capacity right away? It is never too late to start. Brethren, a believer who refuses to build capacity today will beg and be enslaved by an unbeliever who has done so.

Action point: Never settle for average, build capacity today. For without capacity you cannot take the city.

Prayer: I build capacity today in Jesus Christ name. Amen
