Topic: Waiting Patiently
Text: Psalms 40:1-3
[1]I waited patiently for the lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
[2]He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
[3]He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the lord.
Message
Here is another reminder that our God is an all sufficient God. If he says it he brings it definitely to reality! The problem of man is that we forget that time and season is applicable to all things, this is to effect orderliness to our desires, graving and hope! It is a measure initiated by God to teach us the maximization
In the book of Luke 11, the lord emphasis on his ability to do better than our parents could have ever done because he was a Father. However there is a responsibility we must shoulder and that is TO WAIT 'PATIENTLY' ON THE LORD!
Please understand that patience involves:
1. Willingness i.e not losing temper while waiting, remember you made the choice to go for God
2. Constant pursuit of that which you seek
3. Calm delligence even while you wait.
We often forget number 1 and it seems our miracle is not coming. To sing David's kind of song today you must not just wait but wait *patiently*
Action Point: Waiting is sacrificial, but waiting on the lord is rewarding
Prayer point: Please lord help my weariness. Amen
