Topic: Seek!
Text: Mathew 24:1- 3 After Jesus left the temple, his disciples came over and said, “Look at all these buildings!”
2Jesus replied, “Do you see these buildings? They will certainly be torn down! Not one stone will be left in place.”
3 Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him in private and asked, “When will this happen? What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world?”
Message
The word seek implies an attempt to find something. It's a process and it requires desire, research, commitment and consistency. Seeking in most cases is time consuming especially if what you desire was really lost. The longer you tarry searching, the more value to ascribe to your findings.
The disciples of Jesus where always with him, we could say they had everything they needed since Jesus was still available, especially in the physical. As usual one of those blessed days, Vs 1-2 Jesus spoke in his usual short but intent manner, it was not really meaningful that they were left dazed. In life we receive messages, instruction and even signals that may seem not to be meaningful. So in such situation what do we do?
The disciples were not silent . The Bible emphasize in V3, that 'later', they went to him in private and asked further. No wonder it is written, 'seek and you shall find'. The remaining chapter of Mathew 24 confirms Deuteronomy 29:29.
Cultivate the habit of asking, don't stop! The answer is a relief to you and your generation to come. Seek your answer in prayer, Bible study and fellowship with brethren. God awaits your QUEST NOW!
Action Point: Seek now in God
Prayer point: Father as I pray let there be answers.Amen
