Topic; The Foolishness of the devil.
Text: 1 Corinthians 2:8-10 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
MESSAGE
The devil; though wise he thinks he is in his own way, at the birth of Jesus Christ, he tried as much as possible to hinder Jesus' arrival to the world, he sought every way to kill him. Several babies were killed, yet in all of devil's attempts, he failed! When Jesus was born into the world, the devil still sought ways of killing Him, he tried several effort just to make him the lose focus of his assignment here on earth.
Matthew 4 from verse 1 reveals the temptations that Jesus faced after he fasted for 40days and 40nights, the devil appeared to Him so that he could fail in his pursuit of fulfilling God's agenda for his life and the earth at large but Jesus Christ overcame the devil.
Furthermore, as the ministry of Jesus Christ began to find fulfillment, the devil sought another means of disrupting Jesus mission here on earth, according to Luke 22 v 1-2, the devil got Jesus Christ even though there was a prophesy as regard someone who would betray Jesus Christ, so the devil used Judas Ischariot to get Jesus and at this attempt the devil succeeded. The devil was excited that his agenda has been fulfilled, he would have as well made a mockery of Jesus Christ saying I appeared to you in the wilderness after your fast to give you options of surviving but look at you today, I got you!
Jesus was turtured in several ways, was beaten without Mercy, the devil was rejoicing but in all of this, Jesus had the opportunity to be freed when he appeared before pilate but it happened that the citizen prefer an armed robber called barabas to an innocent Jesus Christ whose work was to deliver and help people.
Your present challenge may make u want to ask if God exists. However he does. What you must know is that, ’ he that has said it, is faithful to bring His word to fulfillment.'
