TOPIC: BOASTING IS AN INSULT TO GOD.
READING TEXT: JAMES 4:13-14
"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes". James 4: 14

MESSAGE
Man has never achieved anything by his power nor can he do, but he boasts about his latest technology advancement and scientific breakthrough. They go to every length in search of knowledge; and in return seeking man's appraisal. The Lord said we should be wary of things which appear for a little while and then vanishes tomorrow.

It is good to have goals, but it can disappoint us If we leave God out of them.There is no point making plan as though God does not exist because the future is in His hands. You need to submit your plan to Him and allow Him to take control.

You can plan ahead, but you must hold your plan closely. If you put God's desires at the center of your planning, He will never disappoint you. James 4:6b, God want us to know that whatever we achieve is not by our power but His dwelling Spirit in us. Thus brethren, it is important for you and I to know that it is the power of God that opens the day unto us. You can only have what God has released unto you.
Hence, you have this day because God in His mercy has given it to you not that you should boast about it. Boasting is an attempt to declare that you have achieved something by your power.

God in His might, rules in the affairs of men and He should be worshipped for this. Only He can declare to open a door or shut it. No man is given the power to boast about anything."Expect the Lord builds the house they build in vain "(Psalm 127:1).

Action Point: Today's passage is encouraging you to acknowledge God in every of your plans and He shall grant you success. Proverbs 3:5.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, In you do i trust, lead and guide me right in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
