TOPIC: DESIRE TO FORBEAR
TEXT: EPH 4:1-6
I therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God’s service,Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another.Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit in the binding power of peace.:[There is] one body and one Spirit—just as there is also one hope [that belongs] to the calling you received—[There is] one Lord, one faith, one baptism,One God and Father of [us] all, Who is above all [Sovereign over all], pervading all and [living] in [us] all.
MESSAGE
Forbearance is one virtue that is rapidly going into extinction in the contemporary world, and even in the Christendom. The world cannot endure or tolerate adverse situations, likewise the people of God.
Jesus expressed disappointment at His disciples when He found them sleeping; they could not endure a little for the master; and a little while after resurrection they went back to fishing. Many people have quitted their lucrative jobs because they cannot endure insults. Many women have lost their homes because they cannot weather the storms of the marriage. The youths will get angry and go out of the church at the slightest correction; some will even leave their father’s house, it is the same lack of forbearance that made Christians to leave God and serve idols. God said my people left Me, the fountain of living water and dug a cistern for themselves, a broken cistern that cannot retain water.
Come back today, come back now! For many are the afflictions of the righteous but He promise to deliver. Would he have said it and not bring it to pass, it is only for a while. Persevere by asking for the fruit of the Spirit, relating with brethren (in Christ) so you get encouraged and studying the word and constantly reminding God of his word in prayer.
Trust God in every situation, endurance is for a while.

PRAYER POINT: Father, help me to meekly wait upon you and murmur not in any situation in the name of Jesus. Amen
