TOPIC: DIG AGAIN
TEXT: Genesis 26: 18-26 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. 26:19 And Isaac’s servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. 26:20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. 26:21 And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. 26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. 26:23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba. 26:24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. 26:25 And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac’s servants digged a well.

MESSAGE:
To dig again means to make an effort with all of your resources. Digging refers to your ability to look inside yourself and see your potential, and using all you have to reach your goals, to live out your values and to overcome obstacles. It refers to your resiliency, or your ability to bounce back after setbacks. Digging again requires a growth mindset with faith in God, (Hebrew 11:6).

Message
Goals, big or small, aren’t easy to reach. They take effort, determination, and persistence. Most of us have many goals that go unreached. Not because we aren’t capable, but because we stopped digging, and looking down on ourselves. We quit because we think we are unworthy or unable. We lack the motivation to continue because we believe failure means we can’t, rather than using it as a lesson to be better.

When you get to the core of who you are and what you want out of life, you will be on your way to setting those goals on fire.

The mind is a powerful thing, and that can be both good and bad. It is bad when we let it take over; when we allow the negative thoughts to ruminate and hold us back. But, if we dig deep enough into the core of our thoughts and behaviors, we can develop our emotional intelligence and use our mind to push us forward.

We are capable of so much more than we believe. We quit too early, and we stop pushing ourselves just before we’ve reached the threshold of growth, and we let fear keep us stuck in the same spot.
What we need to do is dig again within ourselves. Stop saying negative things with your mouth. Dig with praise, dig with prayers and the word of God.
It doesn't matter who stopped the well, there is a well in you that is unstoppable.

Once you make up your mind to start digging again, God will plant along your path the people, the gift, the money and the resources that will help you.

ACTION POINT: Don't allow your past failure to hold you back, Dig again.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, this next step am about to take, it will lead to success in Jesus name. Amen
