*GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*DATE: 12th June; 2019TOPIC: Knowledge; the bedrock of HopeBIBLE TEXT; Ephesians 1:15-1915 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, MESSAGE It is the combination of Faith, Love and Hope that makes up the major factor a believer can have and that can strengthen his heart to decide dying for Christ and standing for Him no matter how tough it may be. Having faith and love alone is not enough to strongly stand for and with Him, we need hope to be able to stand, and the level of Hope we have in Him is directly proportional to the level of knowledge we have about Him. In vs 15 of our text, we could see apostle Paul affirming that the Ephesians have love and faith, but He saw that there's still one more thing left for them to have. Hope, which is also very important, and that's what he directed his prayers to. His prayers for them in vs 16-19 wasn't directly to hope, but the context and results of the prayer is to create a solid hope in them. Our hope in God will not be so strong without having the revelational knowledge of Him. Knowing the following will strengthen our hope in Him 👉 What is the hope of calling us👉 How His inheritance in us is so rich in Glory👉 How great His mighty power to us is.We can know this only by the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; and knowing this will tremendously build our hope in Him

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, enlighten the eyes of my understanding that I may know you and have a strong hope in you.
