TOPIC: GOD’S NEVER TEMPT RATHER HE TEST
TEXT:JAMES 1:13–14
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
MESSAGE
Testing and Temptations are two closely related words with a wide range of usage but have an important difference every believer should be aware of.
God does not tempt us but God does test us, or a better way to put it is that He entrusts us.
What’s the difference? Temptation is being enticed or allured to sin. God will not tempt us with sin because He is good and no evil is found in Him (James 1:13). Testing, on the other hand, is God trusting us to make the right choice.example is that of Israelites in the wilderness. God allowed them to suffer hunger (Deut. 8:3) to test their obedience to His Word. James exhorts us to rejoice when we go through trials, because the end of trials is glory. Trials refine and polish our faith and make us better than we were before.
Why Temptation fall on Man
We are tempted when we get carried away by our own lusts and give Satan a foothold to lead us astray (James 1:14)(Jeremiah 50:7)
Way Out
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted” (Hebrews 2:18)
• Confess All sins
•Believe in Christ Jesus
•Using of Christ Name all time( phill 2:10)
• Meditate his word every day and night and Love to all(Agape)
ACTION POINT
Temptation is not limited to sexual sin, but includes every form of enticement for us to commit evil.
PRAYER POINT
Lord Jesus I pray that you sustain me through every trial and keep Me from temptation
