TOPIC:The sanctified life
TEXT: John 17:21–23
21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one
23 I in them and you in me — so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
MESSAGE
It is the express will of God that every believer be sanctified (1 Thess 4:3).
We cannot really become vessels unto honor, fit for the master’s use, until we have been wholly sanctified. To live a sanctified life, you must disconnect from sin for sin will never go on its own if you don’t rise up against it, it just won’t go!
You can wait from now till eternity for sin to go; but until you rise up against it, it just won’t, this is because it is determined to destroy Man.
Christian as a regimental follower of Jesus should desire to be like Christ our master, in every sense and at all time. We should never stop asking ourselves: What would Christ have us do? Apostle Paul said in 1 Cor. 11:1, ‘Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ’, Jn.17: 19. …Sanctification helps the believer to live a holy life without which no man can see God
ACTION POINT
Are you sanctified? Do you wish to be Christ like? Then be willing to part with Sin and Uncleanliness.
PRAYER POINT,:
God of peace sanctify me wholly; let’s my whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
