Topic: wait and listen
Text: Exodus 15:1-6 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
Message
The book of malachi 3:10 instruct that we should bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there might be meat in his house. In the book of proverb, the Lord instructs that in all thy increase pay your tithe. However, there has been a background knowledge of the 10% phenomenon, which has limited the giving capacity of various individual.
In the text examined, the instructions was to give, but there was a manner at which the giving must be be done.
You see God speaks everytime, every season, any time and any place.. it is our responsibility to get our self connected to receive instructions and act it out in exact, just as the Lord would want it.
The concept of waiting and listening implies that constantly you are fellowshipping with God, for he is the God of then, now and forever. A soul that constantly relates with God will understand the dimensions God want his work to be done at present. Brethren cultivate the habit of waiting and listening, draw from him everyday, by that can you say you have obeyed and in His will.
Action point: make seeking God daily an habit today
Prayer point: Lord let my heart pant after you now and always. Amen
