a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
MESSAGE
Learning to control the tongue is a sign of spiritual maturity. The tongue can also bring healing to others (Proverbs 12:18) and wound as well If by now as a Christian you don’t know how to control your tongue to speak blessing, then you really need to check your life. To be able to control your tongue is not about your years of experience as a Christian but your sincere relationship with God.
You will agree with me that, some elders in church still threaten to lay a curse on a person, that is when the relationship with God comes in. The tongue can pour out blessings and curse (James 3:9, 10). It is unnatural for a well to give sweet and salty water, yet we do it with our tongues. which means that we have to exhibit the habit of controlling our tongue at all times.
Many curse themselves during the times of trials and test and some curse themselves during the process of anger.
Please let’s start to make use of our tongue for blessing.
ACTION POINT:
The Bible often talks about the tongue being a destructive power (Jeremiah 9:8). Controlling the tongue is a difficult thing (James 3:6–8), but in other to grow up to the standard of Christ, we must be able to control our tongue effectively.
PRAYER POINT
👉My father I receive the anointing to use my tongue for blessing and not to curse.
