    Topic: LOCATE YOUR “ACHAN”
    Text: Joshua 7:19-21
19 “Now Joshua said to Achan, ‘My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord
God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what
you have done; do not hide it from me.’
    20 And Achan answered Joshua
and said, ‘indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and
this is what I have done:
21 ‘when I saw among the spoils a beautiful
Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge
of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And
there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the
    silver under it.”

Message
The opening verse in Joshua chapter 7 reveals that the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, Achan took of the accursed things. How could one man bring sin upon an entire nation?
This is possible because Adam brought sin upon human race. The implication of Achan’s actions is evident in verse 5 because the children of Israel were defeated at the battlefield.

Sometimes, in human life, the reason a person may not be winning the battles of life could be because an Achan is in the life. One man (Achan) did the wrong thing, and many people suffered from it. The presence of Achan in a person’s life will always bring destruction to the person. You must never permit
anyone or anything that represent Achan in your life. Let’s break this down.

Sometimes, there could be someone who is sowing the seed of accursed things around your life.

Also, Anyone that speaks words or take action that will cause you to lose whatever God has given you is an “Achan!” Sometimes, you’ve got to trust God to open your eyes to know who is speaking evil words about you. Negative or evil words about you are accursed seed sown for your sake. You must never be quiet or else, you will lose whatever God has given you. The moment you identify whoever is speaking evil against you, you must find out either you need confrontation or separation. The moment you notice you cannot Confront your “Achan,” then, you’ve got to separate from such.

The “Achan” of some people is their habit. Any habit that will cause you to lose in life is your Achan. Too much sleep, laziness, anger, covetousness etc, might be your Achan. Joshua 7:22 reveals that the accursed things were hidden in Achan’s tent. Any action, habit that you can not proudly tell others, but can only hide is an “Achan.”

ACTION POINT: As you go about your activities today, you should boldly ask the Lord to show you whatever represents an “Achan” in your life.

PRAYER POINT: Father Lord, take away everything that stands as Achan in my life.
