Text: The Conclusion 2
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
And now, Israel what doth the lord thy God require of thee, but to fear thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy soul.
Message
Our maker the God Almighty has given us some tasks or duties that we must perform and fulfil for us to remain His own forever. These duties are things God require from us as the Israelites of this time that we should fear Him and keep His commandments. The book of Deuteronomy 10:12-13 explain more about the whole duty of man, which is to fear God.
To fear the lord thy God, is to walk in all His ways
To fear the lord thy God, is to love Him
To fear the lord, is to serve the lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Everyone born of a woman has his/her own conscience and this conscience is the eye of God in us as human being that call us to order anytime we are doing or about to do something wrong. This conscience will be of great help for us to fear God even though we trust the Holy Spirit to always influence our conscience for a perfect work.
To fear God, we need to walk in all His way: this can be done by reading the words of God (Bible) every day, in it we will see the ways of God and continue to do according to the words of God.
To fear God, we need to love him: we can’t love God when we hate our brother. 1john 4:20 says “if a man say, I love God and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen.”
For you to love God, you have to love your brother.
To fear God, we need to serve the Lord with all our heart and soul: we should serve God with all we have like our time, our money, wisdom, knowledge etc. May the Lord help us all.
Prayer points:
👉🏽 Lord I want to walk in your ways, give me the strength to do so
👉🏽Lord I want to love you, give the grace to love you the more
👉🏽 Lord I want to serve you, give me the power to serve with all I have. Amen
