Topic: vessel in the hand of the potter

Text: Jeremiah 18 1-4

The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. 3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Firstly I want us to know that a potter mold a vessel in a way he desires, so it is impossible for the vessel to tell the potter this is how I want to be.

God has created us in his own image, He has mold us into that design that will suit His glory, but nowadays we tend to be the potter of our self, most of us have taken our self away from God’s hands.

In the passage we read the verse 4, said

And the vessel that He made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so He made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

According to this verse, God see us as Good vessel after he has mold us, we should stop remolding our self into becoming out of God’s contents.

God has a better design He still want to mold us into what will be useful for this generation, we should surrender our self to Him, and give Him the chance to mold us into that design .. He is the Best architect and the best potter..

Action point: As the clay is in the potter’s hand so are we in the hand of God. We are pencil in the hand of the creator.

Prayer point : father mold me to your taste, remold reshape my life for your use.
