TOPIC: The Love of God
TEXT: 1 John 4:19
[19]We love each other because he loved us first.

MESSAGE
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love.

Love is sacrifice, God sacrificed a lot for us to be to be loved, he already loved us even before the creation of the earth. God himself is love, if we love one another, then God lives in us. If we truly love God, we will keep his commandments.

Obeying God and listening to his instructions are the only way for us to love him irrespective of the circumstances and situation we may be, because he's Love.
God's Love was made visible when God the Father sent His Son Jesus, thus by this we know that God loves us, because He sent Jesus to gather and save His people through His teachings, His living example and, ultimately, through His sacrifice.

When we keep God's Law and dwell in His Love, we conform to Jesus and manifest His character and His Love. This does not happen in one day; it is a learning process that lasts a lifetime.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - "Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy; love is never boastful, is not conceited; does not behave rudely, is not selfish, is not irritable, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in sin, but rejoices in the truth; is protective with all, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."

Prayer point: Help me love sincerely. Amen
