TOPIC: A VIRTUOUS WOMAN
TEXT: PROVERBS 12:4-5 - A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
MESSAGE
A virtuous woman biblically is a woman of faith. There is this adage which says, “a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian”. I am quoting this adage today and at the same time charging the women of our generation today, if we fail to pray and be built in faith, we are going to fail the nation.
As a virtuous woman, the very first thing we need is respect, we must learn to respect our husband, love them, cherish them and build an altar of faith and love in our home. A virtuous woman must also learn the following criteria physically: Dress neat, Look smart, be respected, protect her family, display love and practice integrity.
A virtuous woman criteria spiritually:
A virtuous woman obey’s God’s word. Matt. 4:4; Timothy 3:16-17.
A virtuous woman must not just be a hearer of God’s Word alone but must be the doer. James 1:22-25.
A virtuous woman prays. 1 Thess. 5:17, Mark 1:35; Phil. 4:6.
A virtuous woman enjoys being an integral part of the church. Roman 12:4.
A virtuous woman serves God with fear. 1 Sam 12:24.
A virtuous woman clings to the Gospel.
