Topic: The power of choice
Text: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15
MESSAGE
After the case of Adam pointing an accusing figure to God, in the garden of Eden, that ‘The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I did eat’, God has released the power of choice to mankind. Since then any choice you make as a human being, good or bad, you will face the outcome of it yourself.
No one will force you to make a particular choice because you are the one to answer to the outcome of such choice. Deuteronomy 30:15 says "see I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil", and in verse 19 it says " I call heaven and Earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and they seed may live". In choice making God will never force you but just implore you to make the right choice.
Joshua in his book chapter 24:14-15 also asked the people of Israel to choose who they will serve and he implore them to serve God.

Prayer: Any decision or choice I am going make that will lead to my destruction or send me away from your presence oh Lord don't let me make such choice.

Any wrong choice that I have made that is affecting my life negatively, O Lord deliver me from it and correct all my wrong choice and decisions.
