Text: Matthew 2:1-4

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

The Bible told us in verse 1-3 that the birth of Jesus was so significant that it couldn’t be hidden, the news of it’s magnificence got to the King and he became troubled.

The mind experiences unrest when we give it a signal of insecurity. This is made possible by what we allow our eyes to see, ear to hear, nose to perceive and tongue to taste. No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 23 verse 4; though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Because instead of seeing evil, the writer decided to see Jesus.

What do you allow yourself to see, hear, smell, taste or sense? It goes a long way to define your mind and just like the communication, it won’t stop until there is a feedback. Vs 3 and 4 tells of the feedback of the king’s troubled mind. It affected all the people of Jerusalem

Be desperate to see Jesus always; see His love and peace so that you and all that concerns you might have rest. Remember your positive mindset is always a yardstick for God blessings.

Prayer Point: Lord fix me, that I might be an ambassador of peace. Amen.
