    Topic: Everybody Fights
    Text: Nehemiah 4:16-18
    16) So it was, from that time on, [that] half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and [wore] armor; and the leaders [were] behind all the house of Judah.
    17) Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon.
    18) Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet [was] beside me.

Message
The need to remind ourselves that we are in perilous times cannot be overemphasized. And if you don't want to fall prey to the archenemy who is looking for whom to devour (1 Peter 5:8), you need to be working and be watchful.
The wise Nehemiah in today's anchor scripture understood clearly the time and not only did he divide the people into two sects. But he also ensure those that were even building also kept their weapons close by. The days of dividing responsibilities in church are over. The days of walking here and there during prayer times just because you aren't in prayer band but in welfare team is far behind us. The times are perilous. You must be working for God with one hand and carrying your weapons with the other hand.
Even as a usher, while faithfully carrying out your duties, you shouldn't close your mouth during praise and worship. The weapons of our warfare isn't carnal, don't get carried away during these times, be vigilant and be prayerful so as not to fall into the hands of the enemies. God bless you and reward your labour of love. Amen

Prayer: Father, I refuse to be a prey to the devil.
