TOPIC: As long as I live I will sing to the Lord
BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 104:33-34 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
MESSAGE:
Nobody sang the praises of God more loudly and often than King David. He seemed to sing the praises of God with nearly every breath that he took, and much of the Old Testament. How many chances have we had to lift up our voices and sing in joyous worship of the Lord.
The Bible never says, let those who have beautiful voices sing, as if natural talent were required to praise God. The Bible just says “Sing!” Over and over, dozens of times, we are commanded to sing: sing to the Lord, sing praises, sing joyfully, sing a new song. Come into God's presence with singing.
We sing to the Lord because of Who God is and what God has Done.
As we offer our worship and “sing unto the Lord”, may the Lord richly bless each one of us as we “offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15
ACTION POINT: Sing to the Lord with a prepared heart Psalm 108 :1, with an understanding heart 1Cor 14:15 and with our whole heart Ephesians 5:19.
PRAYER: Lord, as long as I am breathing I will always sing praises to your Holy Name. Accept my worship in Jesus name. Amen
