God of Equity
GRACE CENTRE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: 3rd April 2022
TOPIC: God of Equity
TEXT:Isaiah 59:14–16 NKJV
Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
MESSAGE:
One of the greatest problems confronting us in our nation Nigeria is the issue of justice and equity. This problem is not similar to Nigeria alone. God who called the nation Israel, knew that equity is one way to ensure peace and progress.(number 13:1–20)
God, being God of equity instructed that there should be equity in choosing the spies. When you are making decisions or assuming new responsibilities, remember these two important steps. Ask yourself what you need to know about the opportunity, and then obtain the knowledge necessary for that step. Common sense is a valuable aid in accomplishing God’s purposes,Our society no doubt swims in the ocean of injustice, the poor are cheated to satisfy the yearning of the rich, the educated takes advantage of the illiterate. But from the instruction God gave, it show His fair dealing with us. He didn’t allow only few tribes to do the spying. Every tribe was represented to ensure equity, fairness, and also balanced judgment. This is the way He deals with all of us as Christians. He doesn’t favour some people because of their creed or race.
Where there is justice, definitely there will be Joy, gladness and increase.(psalm 67:4–6)
Are you sitting on the right of anyone? Repent and do like your heavenly Father who is a righteous judge, or is someone sitting on yours? Call on God he will fight for you.
ACTION POINT
God judge with equity so there will be no appeal against God’s judgment in heaven
PRAYER POINT:
God, your standard remains the same for every believer. Grant me the grace to live by it and not to assume you will lower your standard in anyway. Amen
