Topic : Abiding in the vine.
Text: John 15:4
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
*Message*
As children of God, Jesus is telling us here that we should abide in Him, it means living for Him.
When we refuse to abide in the vine(Jesus) we cannot bear the fruit of the spirit, bearing the fruit of the spirit will not be easy as the vine that should help in the bearing of fruit is not dwelling in us and we also we are not dwelling in him also.
Jesus is calling us today to come back and abide completely in Him, He alone is the vine which when we dwell in him and him in us we will have all we ask for.
Verse 6 and 7
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Brethren, For you not to be cast away and withered you will need to abide in the vine. And also for you to ask and receive from the vine He must dwell in you and you also must dwell in Him.
Action point: when we abide in the vine and He also abide in us we have free access to communicate with God.
Prayer point Father Lord Jesus Grace to Abide and abound in you grant unto me.
